Harbour Waves flowing on this Shorebreak Quilt...

Updated: May 19, 2021

Full disclosure on the quilt...I made it for myself. Sometimes as "makers" we have to find time to refresh for ourselves and this one was mine. I love beachy fabric of all kinds and when this one was released I bought it right away!! The creams, blues, teals, and aqua colors speak the me and my own personal taste and style.

The fabric collection is Riptide and pattern Shorebreak were both designed by Citrus and Mint ( https://www.citrusandmintdesigns.com/ ) who designs fabric for Riley Blake. The ease of this pattern and the simple varying stipes really lent itself to this echoing motif of waves and gives it great "quilty" texture.

I used the Harbour Waves pantograph/E2E pattern which can be found on the ( Urban Elementz: Pantographs / Quilting ) site. It just looks like little waves pushing those surfers along. I love echoing motif patterns, they look great on quilts and stitch out so nice. This will easily be used again by me....I can see it also looking like billowing wind across a quilt with houses...hmmmmm ideas, ideas....

This quilt was about even with neutral background and blue, so i went with a cream thread (its my favorite) and I think it looks great on the front and the back! For the backing I used yardage from the main print in the collection.

I was so thrilled with how this quilt turned out! If you have a special quilt that needs a loving touch, I'd love to work with you for your next project. ( www.seashellquilting.com )
